New WC modules for special space and design requirements

emco Bad on the trade fair ISH 2017: New WC modules for special space and design requirements

Frankfurt a. M. / Lingen, 14th March 2017 – Two new modules for the "asis“ room system were presented by emco Bad at the ISH 2017 in Frankfurt. The new products – a reduced-height WC module in a classical design and a variant with an all-through frameless glass surface – are a consistent further-development of the versatile room system and at the same time an extension of the design possibilities for the WC area. The classical WC modules are expanded here to include an alternative specially developed for tight fitting spaces and able to be optimally integrated into bathrooms with small wall areas. The range of 2.0 modules successfully launched last year has also been expanded to include a variant with paper holder at the side. This meant that the glass door could be constructed full-length, giving the module an especially purist look without restricting its functionality.

Behind the glass front the nearly flush-fitted module conceals a toilet brush set, a spare paper compartment and a vertically aligned paper holder. This enables the paper to be conveniently extracted from the upper side with the door closed. Thanks to a special paper guide fitted with a newly developed, registered-design-protected system the paper remains reliably in the side position even when the glass front is opened by gentle finger pressure on its surface (push-to-open mechanism). The door stop is optionally available in a left- or right-handed version.

The new classical WC module combines a paper holder and a toilet brush set and because of its small dimensions is especially suited for smaller bathrooms. A height of only 654 mm and a width of 168 mm here enable discreet integration of the most important functionalities for the WC area right below window sills. So the module, which comes with a chrome-coloured frame, also fits into the smallest wall surfaces and ensures a balanced room architecture.

Both new products come with a glass front in black or optiwhite as space-saving functional units. In combination with the appropriate mounting frame they can be quickly and easily fitted into all common pre-wall sanitation systems. The mounting frame fulfills two functions at once: as place marker during the installation and woodwork and as a final positioning aid.
