You will find our products in the showrooms of specialist bathroom dealers all over the world. To find a dealer in Germany, you can use our search function, which is organised on the basis of postcodes. We also offer a list of distributors who are based outside Germany so that you can find out where to purchase emco products in other parts of the world.

No. We distribute our products via specialist bathroom dealers only.

There are various ways of checking availability: you can either use the product finder that is available on this website (which lists all the articles that are currently being produced) or you can contact your local specialist dealer. Your local dealer will be more than happy to assist you.

In principle, the latest version of our general terms and conditions of sale, delivery and payment always applies. emco glue system

The system consists of a holding ring, a cleaning cloth, an abrasive pad, a glue sachet and application instructions.

Our new emcoround series of accessories already comes with the emco glue system. Click here to go to the product page. To the product page

The glue is EU-REACH compliant and is not labelled as hazardous material. Since it only shrinks slightly during hardening, it is also very mould resistant.

Yes – our emcoround products have been tested in wet areas at 50°C heat and a relative humidity of 100%. The products are approved for applications in wet areas.

Ceramic, natural and artificial stone, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, painted and coated surfaces, glass, mirror, etc.

The 2-component adhesive takes 4 hours to set. During this time, no load must be placed on the accessory. You can also watch our installation video about this.

Watch the video here.

Before an accessory is approved for gluing, we carry out stress tests in the laboratory. The glued accessories are loaded with different weights, and the weight is gradually increased. Whether the accessory is suitable for gluing or has to be further developed is determined by the point when the glued joint no longer is able to withstand the load. It is not only the laboratory tests that ensure secure mounting, however, but also the high quality and extreme holding power of the 2-component adhesive together with the easy installation procedure.

It is possible to glue onto joints, but we recommend not doing so, as removing residues from joints is more labour intensive. If you do still need to do this, single horizontal or vertical joints are more suitable than crossing points.

Yes, you can, if the drill holes are vacuumed out and filled with adhesive before the mounting plate is attached.

The adhesive is resistant to standard household cleaning agents if used correctly.

Once the glue has set, it behaves like a rubbery plastic. The long-term stability has been tested extensively – even in wet areas. The adhesive bond will last until you decide to remove it.

On a smooth surface, you can simply remove a mounting with a putty knife and a hammer. Should any traces of adhesive remain, they can easily be removed with a ceramic scraper or a silicone remover and a cloth. You can also watch the i.Glue dismounting video about removing the system.

Watch the video here.

You can attach 5–6 accessories with one pack.

We are continuing to work closely with i.Glue Systems to further develop the adhesive system in line with the market and to offer further solutions.

Our partner regularly tests the adhesives and confirms that, under real conditions in northern Europe, the glue can be stored for more than two years without any reduction in its adhesive effect.

Testing is currently under way on storage under warmer (e.g. storage temperatures of up to 60°C) or more humid conditions (e.g. 95% humidity), such as can be found in central Europe, for instance.

The adhesive can be handled at temperatures of up to 50°C without any problems. The handling time is reduced from 15–20 minutes under conditions such as those in northern Europe to 2–2.5 minutes under the above-mentioned conditions.

The setting time was calculated at standard climate (23°C, 50% humidity) plus a safety margin.

Temperature and humidity affect the setting time.

emco Light System

The emco light system is designed to make it easy to control your luminaires, using an app for your iOS or Android device.

Working together with our partner Casambi, we use the app they have developed. Bluetooth-enabled luminaires (from Philips Hue or Casambi, for instance) are linked together in the app, either on their own or with accessories such as the Xpress control interface. The Bluetooth 4.0 protocol is used to communicate between the device and the luminaires. The ELS control units form a network, so that all the luminaires can be controlled as long as the device is within range of the network.

The Casambi app was developed for iOS devices on iOS 7.0 or later. The Casambi app works on iPhone 4s, iPad mini and iPod touch 5 or later. It has also been optimised for iPhone 5. An Android version of the app is also available.

The Casambi app supports Philips Hue luminaires and Casambi-powered luminaires.

Pairing means that a light is uniquely connected to the network using the settings sent to it. External use by third parties can also be prevented, for instance with an authorisation code.

Two possibilities: 1. Switch on the luminaires. The Casambi app will automatically find and display all the luminaires in your vicinity. You can then add them to your network by tapping them. 2. Pair your luminaires by clicking on the “More” tab and then on “Nearby luminaires”.

Philips Hue gateways can only be unpaired from networks to which they have access. Select the "More" tab > "Nearby luminaires" > Select gateway and click on "Unpair gateway”.

No. You can only connect Casambi Bluetooth control units to one network at a time. However, it is possible to control the control unit from several devices in the same network, e.g. if you and your partner would both like to access the bathroom mirrored cabinet with your iOS device. That works.

Yes. A Hue gateway can be used in several networks simultaneously. To pair, press the confirmation button on the gateway box.

A network is a group of Casambi Bluetooth control units that all use the same network settings. Because they use the same settings, the units can identify and communicate with each other. When the Casambi app is used as a control unit, it does exactly the same thing: It uses the shared network settings, joins the network and then acts as a control unit.

With network sharing, you share the existing Casambi network with other mobile devices. For example, if you are the administrator of the network and want to share the network with your partner, you share the network with their mobile device. When a network is shared, the settings and associated luminaire images are shared via a secure cloud service.

To store data such as luminaire images and network settings, the Casambi-App needs an internet connection. The data is stored in a secure cloud and made available to other devices.

All mobile devices with at least one guest access to your network can control the basic functions of the luminaires. Access to your network can be restricted. Via the “Network" menu item, you can change the network share from “open” to “do not share”, “password protected” or “administrator only”. The luminaire settings can only be changed with the device on which the administrator password is stored. This is independent of the network share.

If you have stored an administrator email address in the network settings, the password can be reset using the “Reset” function. Otherwise, you can manually remove the luminaires from the network. Empty networks are not displayed in the network list unless they were created with the same end device.

To reset the app and delete the cached data, do as follows. “More” tab > click “Refresh” button > press and hold “Change network” button. This step deletes stored passwords for the networks stored on the device. Networks are not deleted from the cloud.

Only open and password protected networks are shown in the list. You can join an “Administrator-only network” by selecting the “Log in to network” option, which can be found under the “Networks” menu item.

If the problem persists, your connection to the cloud may be affected. Reloading the network list, restarting the app or resetting the app to factory defaults can help here.

You can use the feedback option in the Casambi app for this. Please describe as exactly as possible what you did before and after the error in the app.

Try going to the “Luminaires” tab and clicking on "Nearby luminaires". If that doesn’t work, try the following: Click on the “More” tab. Then tap on the gateway in the list and select “Search for new luminaires”.

In the app, click on the small question mark icons at the bottom right of the screen.

Fittings

As the tap holes underly a certain norm, it is possible to use fittings from other brands. Vice versa it is also possible to use EMCO fittings for other wash basins.

When the fitting uses pressure-tight technology, a defect or dirty aerator can cause this problem.

A cleaning or exchange is required. Also a defect or dirty flow limiter can be the cause. Please check.

Please check water connections are mounted in a deenergized condition. This is required to balance out different mounting dimensions. Please also check, whether mounting dimensions comply with mounting specifications. It is necessary to use original seal rings for mounting of the fitting. Please exchange defect seal rings.

Our fittings have a static water exit in order to ensure ideal water exit to our wash basins. Therefore, the angle is non-adjustable.

During heatup-process in an open water heater sometimes water exists the fitting in order to release pressure. This is caused from physics and no product defect. An exchange or claim oft he product is not reasonable.

Such dripping is normal and caused by physics. This is caused from physics and no product defect. An exchange or claim of the product is not reasonable.

Cabinets for wash basins:

The side glass fits perfectly the colour of the front glass. The cabinet colours are available in black-highgloss and optiwhite high-gloss. They are perfectly combinable with our Asis modules.

Tips for daily use of washstands:

In order to ensure the long life of your washstand, please observe the following instructions for daily use:
1. Protect the elegant, high-quality mineral cast surfaces and glass surfaces from extreme exposure to light as well as heavy, sharp-edged, scratching, hot, corrosive and acidic objects and products.
2. Remove any dirty marks as soon as possible with a soft damp cloth and lukewarm water. Often no cleaning agents are then necessary. Dry off afterwards.
3. Spilled aggressive substances must be removed immediately. Do not let them penetrate!
4. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents containing alcohol or scouring cream, and do not use a microfibre cloth.
5. The water temperature must not exceed 65 degrees on the mineral cast surface.

Mineral cast washbasin:

You can find out about how to maintain the shine and function of EMCO products from the care instructions enclosed with the products. They can also be found in the service area under Downloads. Please observe the following care instructions, because surface and material damage caused by improper handling is not covered by the warranty. Do not use scratchy sponges or scouring agents for cleaning. We also advise against using cleaning agents containing solvents or acids, limescale removers, household vinegar and cleaning agents containing acetic acid. Clean only with a little soap and a damp cloth, then simply rinse and rub dry.

A soft and clean cloth is recommended for cleaning – please do not use any microfibre cloths. For household dirt, warm water and a mild soap cleaner can be used (with no alcohol or scouring cream). Limescale deposits can be removed with household vinegar or non-abrasive, limescale-dissolving and mild detergents. We recommend removing spilled substances immediately – you should avoid hair dye, in particular, getting on the washbasin. To maintain the shine on the mineral cast surface, we recommend applying a high-quality car polish from time to time and polishing it up. Important: to protect the surface, the water temperature should not exceed 65°C. Please always follow the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.

Damage: If the mineral cast should acquire a small scratch or indentation, the damage can be repaired almost invisibly.

Cleaning and maintenance of EMCO products

Glass surfaces: please clean only with a damp chamois leather. Just wipe the glass edges dry. After cleaning, it is important to rub all surfaces dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Please also always observe the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.

Mineral cast: a clean, soft damp cloth (not a microfibre cloth) is enough for cleaning. For heavier grime, please use a mild liquid cleaner – with no alcohol or scouring cream – and warm water. Please make sure that the water temperature does not exceed 65 °C. Spilled substances should be removed immediately. To maintain the shine on the mineral cast surface, we recommend applying a high-quality car polish from time to time and polishing it up. Please also always observe the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.

Fittings & accessories: you must avoid using particularly sharp and abrasive cleaners on EMCO fittings and accessories. Abrasive cleaning aids, such as scouring agents, and equipment, such as sponge scourers, must not be used. The surface of the fittings and accessories could be damaged. You must observe the cleaning dosage prescribed by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent and a maximum exposure time of 10 minutes. When using a cleaning product from a spray bottle, never spray the cleaning solution directly onto the EMCO products; instead spray it onto the cleaning cloth and clean the fitting with this. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any possible residues of the cleaning product. Please also always observe the care instructions enclosed with the assembly instructions.

Plastic parts are not designed to withstand the high temperatures in the dishwasher's drying programme.
